How much makeup is too much?

    in Beauty Forum

It would depend on what you're putting make-up on for. Alot of brides are not always used to wearing make-up and the first thing they say to a MUA is its too much make-up for them, they want to look like themselves. We have to let them know its for the purpose of the photos. The entire day is planned to have memories of your most beautiful day as a bride. The amount of make-up needed to prepare a bride looks very natural and still glam in the photos, but feels like a mask! So, in this case too much is just enough.

    What are your thoughts?

MUA's please feel free to chime in because we love hearing your views. Don't forget to drop a link of your contact info in the comment section in case some ladies want to get dolled up.

this depends on the person, which type of look she wants. for example I like to wear nude lipstick shades.

I agree with Gabrielle. I prefer natural look. Makeup is an art and it depends which type of look you want. If you are going for a party or wedding obviously we must put heavy makeup to look gorgeous but in case of casual outing you can simply keep it natural using minimum makeups required. I like to call it makeup not fakeup! lol Makeup should be a fun and creative way to express yourself. It's about the intention. If you are caking it on to cover up your natural beauty then it's too much.
